Sex Therapy

Sexual health is an important part of overall well-being. Whether you're experiencing changes in desire, navigating relationship challenges, exploring identity, or healing from past experiences, sex therapy provides a safe, affirming space to better understand yourself and build the intimate life you want.
What Is Sex Therapy?
Sex therapy is a specialized form of talk therapy that focuses on sexual health, intimacy, relationships, and identity. Together, you and your therapist will explore your experiences, concerns, thoughts, and goals while developing practical strategies to support your emotional and sexual well-being.
Sex therapy can help individuals and partners:
-
Strengthen intimacy and communication
-
Reconnect with themselves and their partners
-
Explore sexual identity, orientation, or gender
-
Navigate life transitions that impact sexuality
-
Address emotional, relational, or psychological barriers to intimacy
-
Cultivate greater confidence, pleasure, and authentic self-expression
We may also collaborate with or refer you to other healthcare professionals—such as a pelvic floor physical therapist, OB-GYN, urologist, or sexual health physician—to ensure comprehensive, integrated care when appropriate.
Sex therapy does NOT involve nudity, sexual touch, or physical examinations of any kind. Your therapist may recommend exercises or practices to explore privately at home as part of your treatment, but these never take place in a therapist’s office.
